SPECIFICATION TITLE OF THE INVENTION "Crossbow" ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A crossbow has a prod in two parts, each of which is pivotally connected with the stock so that the prod parts can lie alongside the stock when the bow is not in use. When the bow is prepared for use, the prod parts are clamped in operative positions by a mechanism which includes a handle and which provides a substantial mechanical advantage to the operator.
