This invention relates to crosslinked polymer foam compositions of an ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer, an ethylene/acrylic acid copolymer or ionomer, and a crosslinking agent. Such compositions exhibit enhanced melt strength, as well as lower density and compression set. They are especially useful as midsoles or insoles for footwear.

Cette invention a trait à des compositions de mousse polymère réticulée à base de copolymère éthylène acétate de vinyle, de copolymère d'éthylène/acide acrylique et d'un agent de réticulation. Ces compositions font montre d'une résistance accrue à la fusion ainsi que d'une densité inférieure et d'un abaissement de la rémanence à la compression. Cette mousse se révèle des plus utile dans la fabrication de semelle intercalaire ou de semelle d'article chaussant.
