Disclosed are a cross-linked polyallylamine or an acid addition salt thereof having both high phosphate adsorption capability and low degree of swelling, and a medical use thereof. A cross-linked polyallylamine or an acid addition salt thereof was provided, which is obtained by copolymerization of allylammonium dihydrogen phosphate with an acid addition salt of N,N-diallyl-1,3-diaminopropane in an amount of 5 to 25 mol% with respect to the amount of the allylammonium dihydrogen phosphate, the cross-linked polyallylamine or an acid addition salt thereof having a phosphate adsorption capacity of 2.7 to 5.0 mmol/g; and a degree of swelling of 2.0 to 5Ø This cross-linked polyallylamine or an acid addition salt thereof is useful as a therapeutic or prophylactic agent for hyperphosphatemia.
L'invention porte sur une polyallylamine réticulée ou sur un sel d'addition avec les acides de celle-ci, qui présente à la fois une aptitude élevée à l'adsorption de l'acide phosphorique et un faible degré de gonflement. L'invention porte également sur l'utilisation de la polyallylamine réticulée ou du sel d'addition avec les acides de celle-ci à des fins médicales. De façon spécifique, l'invention porte sur une polyallylamine réticulée ou un sel d'addition avec les acides de celle-ci, et qui est obtenu par copolymérisation du dihydrogénophosphate d'allylammonium et d'un sel d'addition avec les acides de N,N'-diallyl-1,3-diaminopropane dans une quantité de 5 à 25 % en moles par rapport à la quantité de dihydrogénophosphate d'allylammonium, et qui a une quantité d'adsorption d'acide phosphorique de 2,7 à 5,0 mmol/g et un degré de gonflement de 2,0 à 5,0. La polyallylamine réticulée ou le sel d'addition avec les acides de celle-ci est utile comme agent thérapeutique ou prophylactique pour l'hyperphosphatémie ou similaire.
