CROSSLINKER-SURFACTANT FOR SEMIFLEXIBLE ENERGY MANAGEMENT POLYETHER POLYURETHANE FOAMS (D#75,864-F) ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The incorporation of a crosslinker comprising an ethylene oxide adduct of a Mannich condensate of nonyl phenol, diethanolamine and formaldehyde in molded poly- urethane semiflexible foams is disclosed. Semiflexible polyurethane foams incorporating this crosslinker result in foams which offer many advantages including a significant improvement in moldability characteristics and materials utilization as well as other advantages. These improvements are demonstrable over similar formulations using other cross- linkers. The resulting foams find use in energy absorbing applications in the automotive industry and other industries.
