The present invention is to offer a crude drug extract containing soluble silicon compounds as an effective component and also to offer a standardization method therefor. The crude drug extract of the present invention can be prepared by extraction of various crude drugs derived from animals, plants, etc. and quality of the crude drug extract can be standardized using the soluble silicon compounds as an index. Consequently, the present invention greatly contributes to the appropriate standardization of pharmaceuticals.
