ABSTRACT A crushing device has a rotator with striking tools, and a cylindrical roller as a counter tool. The rotator is mounted in a swivel frame, the height and longitudinal direction of the swivel axis of which can be varied for changing the gap between the rotator and the roller. The swinging movement of the swivel frame is limited by limit devices provided with cushioning elements. A cylinder filled with pressure medium exerts an essentially constant biassing force on the swivel frame in the direction toward the roller.
