A cryoprobe for surgical and other treatments. The cryoprobe comprises an expandable section that performs displacement of a distal cryotip forwards when there is elevation of the operation pressure in the interior of the cryoprobe. Needle-wise metal elements are installed on the external side of the cryotip. These needle-wise elements are deflecting outwards by a deflecting member fastened on the distal edge of an external shaft of the cryoprobe. This allows a significant enlargement of the frozen volume of the treated tissue with the same operation temperature and the outer diameter of the cryoprobe. In another embodiment, the needle elements are formed in a displaceable metal sheath and a distal section of a cryotip and/or special protrusions on this distal section act as the deflecting member.
La présente invention concerne une cryosonde destinée à des traitements chirurgicaux et autres. La cryosonde comporte une section extensible qui permet le déplacement d'une cryopointe distale vers l'avant lorsque se produit une élévation de la pression de fonctionnement à l'intérieur de la cryosonde. Des éléments métalliques de type aiguille sont montés sur le côté externe de la cryopointe. Ces éléments de type aiguille sont déviés vers l'extérieur par un élément de déviation fixé sur le bord distal d'une tige externe de la cryosonde. Ceci permet une augmentation significative du volume congelé du tissu traité avec la même température de fonctionnement et avec le diamètre externe de la cryosonde. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, les éléments de type aiguille sont formés dans une gaine métallique susceptible de se déplacer, et une section distale d'une crypointe et/ou des protubérances spéciales sur cette section distale agissent à titre d'élément de déviation.
