A double column cryogenic rectification system for producing low purity oxygen and high purity nitrogen, preferably at elevated pressure, wherein nitrogen-rich vapor from the higher pressure column is turboexpanded and condensed against lower pressure column intermediate liquid prior to being passed into the lower pressure column.

Système de rectification cryogénique à doubles colonnes produisant de l'oxygène de faible pureté et de l'azote très pure, de préférence à une pression élevée, dans lequel de la vapeur riche en azote, provenant de la colonne à haute pression, fait l'objet d'une turbodétente et est condensée contre le liquide intermédiaire de la colonne à faible pression avant de passer dans la colonne à faible pression.
