The invention relates to the determination of the three-dimensional structures of Fc receptor proteins, particularly wild-type Fc.gamma.RIIa, by X-ray crystallography and the use of the structure in identifying and modifying agents for modulating the biological activity of Fc receptors. Also disclosed is a novel dimeric structure for Fc.gamma.RIIa and novel target sites for agents for modulating the biological activity of Fc receptor proteins.
L'invention se rapporte à la détermination de structures tridimensionnelles de protéines-récepteurs Fc, en particulier Fc.gamma.RIIa du type sauvage, par cristallographie aux rayons X, ainsi qu'à l'utilisation de cette structure pour identifier et modifier des agents permettant la modulation de l'activité biologique des récepteurs Fc. L'invention se rapporte également à une nouvelle structure dimère pour Fc.gamma.RIIa et à de nouveaux sites cibles pour des agents de modulation de l'activité biologique des protéines récepteurs Fc.
