A B S T R A C T A new anhydrous crystalline form of prazosine hydrochloride characterised by the following bands in the infra-red spectrum in potassium bromide is described: 3445 cm-1 (2.90 µm), 1010 cm-1 (9.90 µm) (duplet), and 768 cm-1 (13.03 µm). This new form is distinguished by its surprisingly great stability in storage compared with known polymorphous forms of prazosine.
