The invention relates to multricrystalline melamine powder having the following properties: specific surface area: 0.7-5 m2/g, content of oxygen-containing components <0.7 wt.%, APHA colour less than 17, melam: higher than 1.5 wt.%. The invention further relates to amino-formaldehyde resin in which multicrystalline melamine with a melam content higher than 1.5 wt.% is used.

L'invention concerne de la poudre de mélamine polyticristalline présentant les propriétés suivantes: zone superficielle spécifique: 0,7-5 m<2>/g; teneur de composants contenant de l'oxygène <0,7 % en masse; couleur APHA inférieure à 17; melam: supérieure à 1,5 % en masse.
