ABSTRACT This culture substrate for the plant cells, tissues, organs and whole plants is constituted by chemically and micro- biologlcally insert synthetic fibers. The culture substrate may be constituted by acrylic, mod acrylic, polyamide, polyester, polypropylene, tetrafluoroethylene fibers, or any other fiber having similar qualities, to the exclusion of any inorganic fibers such as glass wool, rock wool, asbestos. It may be in the form of wads of fibers or flakes used alone or as inert additive in mixtures, or solid wicks for vertical hydroponic culture.
