ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to a culture bottle comprising a side wall, a base on which the bottle can stand, and a partition wall within the bottle extending generally vertically when the bottle is standing on the base; and wherein the side wall is capable of supporting the bottle non-rollingly on its side and in which position the partition wall at least in part defines a dish capable of retaining material. The invention also relates to methods of preparing a bottle for culturing and culturing methods.
