ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An arch-beam structure for use in the construction of culverts or the like includes a corrugated metal conduit, and corrugated metal or concrete wings extending outwardly from the top sides of the conduit for distributing the soil cover load. Such a structure is relatively inexpensive and increases the resistance to failure in the area of the soil or backfill materials adjacent the structure.
