ABSTRACT The invention relates to a cup-shaped body provided with an upwardly extending boundary wall, which bounds a cavity which is intented for accommodating a ball of cultivating material for raising a plant or the like . Several channels, which are open at their upper and lower ends and which extend in the vertical direction of said cup-shaped body, are disposed near said boundary wall. At its bottom side the cavity is closed by a bottom plate, in which there is provided at least one passage.
