Abstract of the Disclosure: Curable coating composi- tions based on olefinically unsaturated polysiloxanes, which are polycondensates obtained from a) an olefinically unsaturated silane of the general formula R1-Si(OR2)3 where R1 is vinyl or a C2-C8-alkyl acrylate or methacryl- ate radical, bonded to the Si atom via a C-Si bond and R2 is hydrogen or a saturated hydrocarbon radical and b) a saturated silane of the general formula Image where R2 has the above meanings and R3 and R4 are iden- tical or different and each is a saturated hydrocarbon radical or an unsubstituted or alkyl-substituted aromatic hydrocarbon. radical, with or without c) an epoxide-containing silane with 2 or more hydroxyl or alkoxy groups. These coating compositions are used to produce mar-resistent coatings on plastics surfaces, harden- ing being effected by ionizing radiation or ultraviolet light.
