ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Curable compounds, and the preparation and use thereof The invention relates to curable compounds carrying groups containing basic nitrogen, essentially comprising struc- tural units derived from A) a compound which contains, on average, at least one, preferably terminal 2-oxo-1,3-dioxolane group per molecule, with B) a secondary diamine containing hydroxyl groups in the .beta.-positions to the secondary amino groups, it also be- ing possible for this amine to contain blocked primary amino groups, and, if appropriate, C) a difunctional amine containing at least one free pri- mary amino group and, if appropriate, at least one secondary amino group. The invention furthermore relates to a process for the preparation of the curable compounds and to their use, in particular in surface-coating preparations, specifically in electrocoating materials. The coatings obtained using these compounds are distinguished, above all, by optimized inter-layer adhesion.
