A film-forming composition, typically a topcoat, having improved adhesion to certain commercially available adhesives. The composition includes a curable film-forming polymer, typically an acrylic and/or a polyester polymer, with carbamate and/or urea groups. The composition further includes a material containing one or more hydrolyzable silyl groups. The hydrolyzable silyl group- containing material optionally can be a polymeric or oligomeric. Also disclosed are a method of applying the above described film-forming composition to a substrate and the coated article prepared by such a method.
L'invention porte sur une composition filmogène, généralement une couche de finition, possédant des qualités d'adhésion améliorées par rapport à certains adhésifs disponibles sur le marché. Cette composition comprend un polymère filmogène durcissable, généralement un polymère acrylique et/ou polyester, ainsi que des groupes carbamate et/ou urée. La composition de l'invention contient, en outre, une matière renfermant un ou plusieurs groupes silyle hydrolysables. Cette matière renfermant un groupe silyle hydrolysable peut éventuellement être polymère ou oligomérique. L'invention concerne également un procédé destiné à appliquer la composition filmogène décrite ci-dessus sur un substrat, et l'article revêtu préparé au moyen de ce procédé.
