The invention relates to curcumin derivatives with improved water solubility compared to curcumin, characterized in that the curcumin part is linked to a mono, oligo or polysaccharide. The invention also relates to medicaments containing these derivatives. The inventive curcumin derivatives are particularly suitable for use for preventing and treating cancer, chronic- inflammatory diseases and diseases associated with a retrovirus infection.
L'invention concerne des dérivés de curcumine à solubilité dans l'eau améliorée vis-à-vis de la curcumine, caractérisés en ce que la fraction curcumine est liée à un mono-, oligo- ou polysaccharide. L'invention concerne également les médicaments renfermant ces dérivés. Les dérivés de curcumine selon l'invention sont particulièrement appropriés pour la prévention et le traitement du cancer, d'affections inflammatoires chroniques et de maladies se développant avec infection rétrovirale.
