ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Brooms made of synthetic materials and having the necessary characteristics to be used for curling. Brooms of synthetic fibers wherein the essentially non-springiness of such fibres is compensated by the presence of a core of resilient coarser fibers within the bundle of fibers, such means being arranged to produce whipping as the usual curling broom without marring the ice. A flexible sheet is inserted between each side of the core and the outer fibers. The fibers are loosely stitched or bound together to permit fiber flexing.
