CURLING IRON Abstract of The Disclosure A curling iron has an oval or square shaped heating tube and a clamp secured to the end of the tube which is adjacent the handle. The clamp has a relatively short clamping surface which extends over a portion of the length of the tube, and covers the top surface and a portion of the side surfaces of the tube. A group of hair strands may be wrapped around the tube so that the ends of the hair strands are secured adjacent to the handle and the remaining length of the hair strands may be distributed along the tube without substantial overlap.
