Abstract of the Disclosure The invention relates to a shoe suitable as the slider shoe of a pair of curling shoes the shoe having a sole which comprises a support attached to an ice-contacting surface of the shoe wherein the support is substantially rigid at least in a direction transverse of the shoe to reduce muscular strain of a wearer during a follow-through delivery of a curling rock. The above support may also be incorporated into a suitable attachment to fit over a shoe to convert the shoe into a slider shoe.
