An exchange trade fund comprising: an amount of currency, wherein the currency is deposited with one or more custodians in exchange for one or more creation units; wherein each creation unit represents a plurality of shares of the fund; and wherein each creation unit is redeemable for an amount of the currency equal to the net asset value of the creation unit plus interest and less fund expenses. Also disclosed is a closed end fund comprising: one or more currencies deposited in short-term bank instruments; and the distribution of shares of the fund to one or more investors, wherein the shares of the fund have a net asset value based on a combination of prices of the one or more currencies from a plurality of sources, and wherein interest earned on the short-term interest bearing instruments are paid out to the one or more investors as a dividend.
L'invention concerne un fond de change et de commerce comprenant: une quantité de devises, les devises étant déposées par au moins un dépositaire en échange d'au moins une unité de création. Chaque unité de création représente une pluralité d'actions du fond. Chaque unité de création peut être convertie en une quantité de devises égales à la valeur d'actif net de l'unité de création plus les intérêts et moins les dépenses de fond. L'invention concerne également un fond limité d'obligations comprenant: au moins une devise déposée dans un système bancaire à court terme; et la distribution des actions du fond se fait auprès d'au moins un investisseur. Les actions du fond présentent une valeur d'actif net fondée sur une combinaison de prix d'au moins une devise provenant d'une pluralité de sources. Les intérêts gagnés sur les instruments portant des intérêts à court terme, sont payés en tant que dividende, à l'investisseur susmentionné.
