A current drive apparatus for an active matrix display operates a plurality of loads, e.g. organic or inorganic EL elements, by applying a current thereto. The apparatus includes a plurality of output terminals (Tout) to which the loads are respectively connected. A single current generation circuit (10A) comprising e.g. a digital to analogue converter and a current mirror, outputs an operating current having a predetermined current value. A plurality of current storage circuits (30A) are provided in accordance with the respective output terminals, sequentially sample and hold (40A) the operating current and then simultaneously output (EN) the drive currents based on the sampled operating currents to the respective output terminals. The operating current has a current value according to an input signal. The current storage circuit (30A) includes a voltage component holding section which samples the operating current outputted from the current generation circuit and holds a voltage component for driving a drive control current corresponding to a current value of the operating current for driving a second current mirror.
L'invention concerne un dispositif de commande de courant assurant la mise en oeuvre d'une pluralité de charges par application d'un courant sur celles-ci. Ce dispositif comprend une pluralité de bornes de sortie (Tout) auxquelles les charges sont respectivement connectées. Un circuit générateur de courant simple (10A) produit en sortie un courant de fonctionnement présentant une valeur de courant prédéterminée. Une pluralité de circuits de stockage de courant (30A) utilisés selon les bornes de sortie respectives permettent d'extraire et de conserver le courant de fonctionnement, et, simultanément, de produire en sortie le courant de commande sur la base du courant de fonctionnement en direction des bornes de sortie respectives. Le courant de fonctionnement présente une valeur de courant déterminée selon un signal d'entrée. Le circuit de stockage de courant (30A) comprend une unité de conservation de composante de tension permettant d'extraire le courant de fonctionnement produit en sortie à partir du circuit générateur de courant et de conserver une composante de tension correspondant à la valeur de courant du courant de fonctionnement.
