A system for monitoring current includes first and second current sensors that sense respective first and second currents within respective first and second wires. The first current sensor senses a first signal from the first wire and provides the first signal to a current monitor. The second current sensor senses a second signal from the second wire and provides the second signal to the first current sensor, which in turn provides the second signal to the current monitor. Additional current sensors may be included, each of which passes its senses signal to the previous current sensor to provide the signal to the current monitor.
