CURRENT TRANSFORMER ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A high voltage current transformer has an ex- ternal inductance element electrically connected thereto. The inductance element has a relatively low magnitude of inductance, compared with the inductance of the current transformer, to cause a substantial increase in the exci- tation current which significantly reduces the residual flux in the current transformer.
