ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A curved slot guide for paternoster-type document carrier of the type wherein the slots guiding the carrier intersect each other at the upper and lower turns thereof. In order to secure a smooth ride of the respective rollers or slides over the intersection, a pair of switch levers is arranged to close one of the slots at the intersection while forming a concavely and convexly curved extensions of the respective sides of the other slot, and vice versa. The levers are coupled with each other for simultaneous movement from one position to the other as the lever disposed at the upstream end is pushed by the respective oncoming roller.
