A document handling system (10) is adapted to accommodate a plurality of different currency types. The system includes a sensor (320) for counting the number of bills in a stack of bills. An operator interface panel (400) includes a display for displaying information to an operator. An input device specifies the type of currency and the denomination of currency to be processed. The system may further include an authenticating unit (360) for authenticating each of the bills based on one or more attributes detected from each bill. Based on the designated currency type and denomination, the system appropriately adjusts the display and/or selects which attributes are used to authenticate bills.
La présente invention concerne un système de gestion de documents (10) adapté pour convenir aux différents types de monnaie. Le système comporte un capteur (320) de comptage du nombre de billets dans un empilement de billets. Un panneau interface d'opérateur (400) comprend un écran d'affichage d'information destinée à un opérateur. Le dispositif d'entrée précise le type de monnaie et la dénomination de la monnaie à traiter. Le système peut également comporter une unité d'authentification (360) permettant d'authentifier chacun des billets en fonction d'une ou de plusieurs caractéristiques détectées dans chaque billet. En fonction du type de monnaie et de la dénomination désignés le système ajuste de manière appropriée l'affichage et/ou choisit les caractéristiques à être utilisées pour l'authentification des billets.
