The invention relates generally to a seating system and more particularly to seat cushion assemblies having a rearward depression and cushioning insert tailored to fit under the skeletal structure of the user. In particular, the assembly preferably includes an intermediate insert which fits within a base depression and a cushioning insert which can be a fluid bag, air bag, foam or gel. The insert is generally oval shaped and has a rounded bottom. This enables the cushion to be used to fit under the seating bones so as to provide a proper pelvic tilt. Further, the insert can be moved in order to provide controlled movement of the pelvis over time. A first cushioning insert is generally constructed of a material forming baffles so as to define air chambers and having a right and left seat bone area. A second design has a top and bottom so as to define the fluid envelope separated by central baffle having apertures to allow fluid communication between the right and left portions. In a further aspect, the invention includes tapered wedges which can be removed to lower one side of the leg well and the base cushion to allow for self-proportion on the part of the user. Rigid stabilizers support the edges of the base cushion.
L'invention concerne, d'une manière générale, un système de siège et plus particulièrement des ensembles coussins de siège présentant une partie en creux arrière et un insert de rembourrage personnalisé pour se placer sous la structure du squelette de l'utilisateur. En particulier, l'ensemble comprend de préférence un insert intermédiaire s'adaptant à l'intérieur d'une partie creuse de base et un insert de rembourrage pouvant être un coussin de fluide, un coussin d'air, une mousse ou du gel. L'insert est, d'une manière générale, de forme ovale et présente un fond arrondi. Ceci permet d'utiliser le coussin de manière qu'il s'adapte sous les os d'assise afin de procurer une inclinaison pelvienne appropriée. De plus, l'insert peut être déplacé afin de permettre un mouvement maîtrisé du bassin dans le temps. Un premier insert de rembourrage est formé, d'une manière générale, à partir d'un matériau formant des chicanes de manière à définir des chambres à air et présentant une surface droite et gauche pour les os d'assise. Une seconde conception présente une partie supérieure et une partie inférieure de manière à définir l'enveloppe de fluide séparée par une cloison centrale présentant des ouvertures permettant la circulation du fluide entre les parties droite et gauche. Dans un autre aspect, l'invention comprend des cales effilées pouvant être retirées afin d'abaisser un côté du puits des jambes et le coussin de base pour permettre une auto-proportion de la part de l'utilisateur. Des stabilisateurs rigides portent les bords du coussin de base.
