A cut, slash and/or abrasion resistant fabric Is provided having both high cut resistance and light fabric weight, preferably a cut resistance of at least 500 (as measured by ASTM-Fl 790-04) and a fabric weight of no more than 27.9 ounces/square yard (OPSY), which can be prepared, if desired, by shaped knitting into a shaped fabric panel, which is used to prepare cut, slash and/or abrasion resistant garments or coverings.

L'invention concerne un tissu résistant aux coupures, aux incisions et/ou à l'abrasion, ledit tissu présentant à la fois une grande résistance aux coupures et un poids léger, de préférence une résistance aux coupures supérieure ou égale à 500 (mesurée par ASTM-Fl 790-04) et un poids inférieur ou égal à 27,9 onces/verge carrée, ledit tissu pouvant être préparé, si on le souhaite, par mise en forme par tricotage pour obtenir un panneau de tissu façonné qui est utilisé pour fabriquer des vêtements ou des revêtements résistants aux coupures, aux incisions et/ou à l'abrasion.
