CUTTER DEVICE PARTICULARLY USEFUL FOR CUTTING FINGERNAILS OR TOENAILS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A cutter device particularly useful for cutting fingernails or toenails, includes a housing grippable by the user for manipulating the device, a slot formed in the housing and elongated in one direction for receiving the nail to be cut, a blade fixed on a rotable head within the housing and having a cutting edge located to extend substantially perpendicularly to the slot, and a motor for driving the blade across the undersurface of the housing just under the slot and substantially parallel to the direction of the slot to thereby cut a nail received within the slot.
