A cutter having alternating blades particularly suitable for cutting products baked in an oven and made with bread paste into thin slices is of the type which has a base (1), a support group (2) for the cutting blades (3), a conveyor (4) and a transport system made with bands (5) placed side by side for the products (6) to be cut. According to the invention the blades are conformed and disposed in such a manner to obtain as the final products pieces of minimum thickness and in any event lower with respect to the pieces which are obtained with similar cutters of known type. \
