The invention concerns a cutting blade assembly for microkeratome comprising a blade (8) with a rectilinear cutting edge (9), the blade being integral with a support (10) with substantially constant profile (11) along one longitudinal dimension parallel to the cutting edge (9) and delimited by an outer surface (12) comprising a notch (14) substantially orthogonal to the cutting edge (9) of the blade (8), wherein said outer surface (12) has a clearance (15, 17) parallel to the cutting edge of the blade extending from one end (10a) of the support up to a specific distance of the notch (14).
