- 9 - Abstract The clamping slot (3), produced by shearing, of the insulation piercing connecting device (1) extends in a jagged shape. One of the two clamping legs is deformed at the end of its foot in such a way that its free end is shortened or lengthened. As a result, the clamping legs are offset with respect to one another in the region of the clamping slot and are partially constricted or widened. The pressed-in connecting wire (6) is thus securely held in the clamping slot (3).
