The present invention relates to a cutting guide used to position a part following its final direction of installation in relation to blade of a cutting tool, said tool being further equipped with a work with a substantially horizontal plane and a guide with a substantially vertical plane and means for angular positioning of the blade relative to said guide, the plane of the work table and the plane of the guide forming orthogonal planes, said part being the type comprising a longitudinal axis, a rear portion substantially parallel to said axis and a lower portion substantially parallel to said axis, said cutting guide being characterized in that it includes: a longitudinal axis and opposite ends, with first means cooperating with the plane of the work table and the plane of the guide to maintain the longitudinal axis of the cutting guide substantially parallel to said substantially orthogonal planes and second means that includes a first parallel plane adjacent of the work table or plane or coplanar with that of the work table, and a second plane forming an angle determined to be less than 90 degrees in relation to a first plan to receive and guide at least part of the rear portion of the part along an inclined plane determined when the part is held against said first and second planes to position of said part in a stable fashion after final installation, and to position the longitudinal axis of the part substantially parallel to the cutting guide, said part being intended to be held manually against said first and second planes and the cutting guide is intended to be positioned over the cutting path of the blade so that the part is cut to the desired angle and length near one of the ends of the cutting guide. Preferably, the piece is a crown or similar molding. The invention also provides a method of use of the cutting guide.
La présente invention concerne un guide de coupe de coupe permettant le positionnement d'une pièce suivant son orientation finale d'installation par rapport à la lame d'un outil de coupe, ledit outil étant en outre pourvue d'une table de travail avant un plan substantiellement horizontale, d'un guide ayant un plan substantiellement vertical et de moyens pour le positionnement angulaire de la lame par rapport audit guide, la plan de la table de travail et le plan du guide formant des plans orthogonaux, ladite pièce étant du type comprenant un axe longitudinal, une portion arrière substantiellement parallèle audit axe et une portion inférieure substantiellement parallèle audit axe: ledit guide de coupe étant caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend: un axe longitudinal et des extrétmités opposées: de premiers moyens coopérant avec le plan de la table de travail et le plan du guide pour maintenir l'axe longitudinal du guide de coupe substantiellement parallèle auxdits plans orthogonaux: et de seconds moyens comprenant un premier plan parallèle et voisin du plan de la table de travail ou coplanaire à celui de la table de travail, et un second plan formant un angle déterminé inférieur à 90 degrés par rapport à un premier plan pour recevoir et orienter au moins une partie de la portion arrière de la pièce suivant un plan incliné déterminé, lorsque la pièce est maintenue contre lesdits premier et second plans pour positionner d'une façon stable ladite pièce substantiellement suivant son orientation finale d'installation, et pour positionner l'axe longitudinal de la pièce substantiellement parallèle à celui du guide de coupe; ladite pièce étant destinée à être maintenue manuellement contre lesdits premier et second plans et le guide de coupe étant destiné à être positionné par rapport à la trajectoire de coupe de la lame de sorte à ce que la pièce soit coupée à l'angle voulu et à la longueur voulue au voisinage d'une des extrémités du guide de coupe. De préférence, la pièce est une moulure couronne ou une moulure analogue. L'invention concerne également une méthode d'utilisation dudit guide de coupe.
