ABSTRACT The cutting head invention relates to devices employed for cutting mat boards. Mounting and control of the cutting blade to consistently provide a clean, straight cut of the mat board is achieved by a cutting head having backing and cover plates and a locking and adjustment assembly. A top screw, rear depth adjustment screw and bottom flange secure the cutting blade, deform- ing edges thereof.
