A replaceable cutting head (1, 100) is adapted for co-axial coupling thereof, along a coupling axis (A, A'), with a tool shank (2, 102) in a self-clamping fashion. Both the cutting head and the tool shank have a mounting portion (6, 106) comprising a positioning section (10, 112) and a centering section (12, 110). The centering section (12, 110) is formed with a peripheral centering surface (26, 111) which extends circumferentially with respect to the coupling axis (A, A') and has a substantially conical shape at least at two portions thereof. The positioning section (10, 112) has at least two peripherally disposed and circumferentially extending and spaced apart positioning surfaces (16, 116) adapted for the provision of an axial support of the cutting head (1, 100) on the tool shank (2, 102). Each positioning surface (16, 116) is inclined with respect to the coupling axis (A, A') so that an axial distance therefrom to a broad end (13, 118) of the peripheral centering surface (26, 111) increases in a direction generally corresponding to the direction of cutting forces acting on the cutting edge (8, 108) during a cutting operation. One of the positioning and centering sections is formed with at least two circumferentially spaced apart fixation wings (24, 115) with, respectively, either the positioning surfaces (16, 116) and/or the portions of the centering surface (26, 111), belonging thereto.
L'invention concerne une tête de coupe remplaçable (1, 100) pouvant être assemblée coaxialement le long d'un axe d'assemblage (A, A') avec un emmanchement d'outil (2, 102) par autoserrage. La tête de coupe et l'emmanchement d'outil ont tous deux une partie d'assemblage (6, 106) comprenant une partie de positionnement (10, 112) et une partie de centrage (12, 110) qui est formée d'une surface de centrage périphérique (26, 111) s'étendant autour de l'axe d'assemblage (A, A') et dont deux parties au moins adoptent une forme conique. La partie de positionnement (10, 112) présente au moins deux surfaces de positionnement écartées l'une de l'autre (16, 116) s'étendant de manière périphérique. Ces surfaces sont conçues pour assurer un support axial de la tête de coupe (1, 100) sur l'emmanchement de l'outil (2, 102). Chaque surface de positionnement (16, 116) est inclinée par rapport à l'axe d'assemblage (A, A') de manière que la distance axiale jusqu'à une extrémité large (13, 118) de la surface de centrage périphérique (26, 111) augmente dans une direction correspondant normalement à la direction des forces de coupe agissant sur le bord de coupe (8, 108) pendant une opération de coupe. Une des parties de positionnement et de centrage est formée d'au moins deux ailes de fixation écartées l'une de l'autre (24, 115), les surfaces de positionnement (16, 116) et/ou les parties de surface de centrage (26, 111) y étant fixées.
