A cutting machine for organic plant materials, especially for tobacco, comprising a frame and a cutterhead mounted in the frame, the cutterhead being in the form of a drum having cutting knives (16, 18) symmetrically arranged on its perimeter surface, wherein the cutterhead comprises at least two separate knife extension arrangements (10, 10a) arranged alternately to each other below the perimeter surface of the cutterhead drum and actuated separately, each of the two knife extension arrangements (10, lOa) being connected to the corresponding cutting knives (16, 18) and equipped with a motor (1, la), revolutions of which being controlled by means of an external signal independent of parameters of the cutterhead drum motion, the signal being transmitted and adjusted by electric motors (1, la) by means of an electric signal specifying the required extension rate of the appropriate knives set, the motors (1, la) being arranged axially symmetrically on both sides of the drive shaft.
L'invention porte sur une machine de coupe de plantes et spécialement du tabac comportant un bâti et une tête de coupe en forme de tambour montée dans le bâti et munie de couteaux (16, 18) disposés symétriquement à sa périphérie. La tête de coupe comporte en outre au moins deux extensions séparées (10, 10a) alternant de couteaux, placées sous la surface périphérique du tambour et activées séparément. Chacune des deux extensions (10, 10a) est reliée aux couteaux (16, 18) correspondants et entraîné par un moteur (1, 1a) dont la rotation est commandée par un signal extérieur, indépendant des paramètres d'entraînement du tambour, et transmis aux moteurs électriques (1, 1a) via un signal électrique spécifiant le degré d'expansion requis des jeux correspondants de couteaux, les moteurs étant disposés axialement et symétriquement de part et d'autre de l'arbre d'entraînement.
