A cutting mat for use in cutting a sheet is constructed by a first member formed with an engaging portion on one end thereof and a second member formed with an engaging portion on one end thereof. The engaging portion of the first member and the second member includes a fixing section and a contact section with such a shape that the fixing section and the contact section of the second member are respectively engageable with the fixing section and the contact section of the first member. The first member and the second member are firmly connected to form the cutting mat when the fixing section of the first member is engaged with the fixing section of the second member and the contact section of the first member is rendered into contact with the contact section of the second member. -25-
