The invention relates to a cutting segment of a diamond tool for cutting or drilling a brittle workpiece such as stone, bricks, concrete and asphalt, and a diamond tool having the same. The invention allows superior cutting rate and lengthy useful life without suffering from R wear during cutting. In the cutting segment, a number of diamond particles are arranged in a plurality of plate-shaped layers stacked perpendicular to a cutting direction. Each of the diamond particle layers has a plurality of particle rows on a cutting surface. Further, at least two of the diamond particle layers are superimposed on at least one side of the cutting segment seen from the front of the cutting segment in cutting direction. The invention ensures uniform cutting by significantly reducing R wear that arises during cutting and thus enables superior cutting rate and longer useful life.
L'invention concerne un segment de coupe destiné à un outil diamant permettant de couper ou de forer une pièce à travailler cassante, telle que la pierre, la brique, le béton et l'asphalte; et un outil diamant associé. L'invention permet d'obtenir une vitesse de coupe élevée et une vie utile plus longue sans subir d'usure en arrondi pendant la coupe. Dans le segment de coupe, un certain nombre de particules de diamant sont agencées en une pluralité de couches en forme de plaques feuilletées empilées perpendiculairement au sens de coupe. Chacune des couches de particules de diamant comprend une pluralité de rangées de particules sur une surface de coupe. En outre, au moins deux couches de particules de diamant sont superposées sur au moins un côté du segment de coupe vu de l'avant dans un sens de coupe. L'invention permet d'assurer une coupe uniforme par réduction significative de l'usure en arrondi qui se produit pendant une coupe, ce qui permet d'obtenir un vitesse de coupe élevée et une vie utile plus longue.
