The present invention provides a cutting tool assembly (20) having a cutting insert holder (22) and a cutting insert (24). The cutting insert holder (22) has a clamping jaw (26), a base jaw (30) and an inner side surface (40) extending therebetween. An insert pocket (42) is defined between the two jaws (26, 30) and the inner side surface (40). The inner side surface (40) is provided with a positioning member (45). A clamping screw (34) passes through the upper clamping jaw (26) and is threadingly connected to the lower clamping jaw (30). The cutting insert (24) has a central body portion (46) having a side surface (58) provided with a location member (62, 70) which is engaged by the positioning member (45) whereby the axial location of the cutting insert (24) is fixed.

La présente invention concerne un ensemble outil de coupe (20) possédant un support d'insert de coupe (22) et un insert de coupe (24). Le support d'insert de coupe (22) possède un mors de serrage (26), un mors de base (30) et une surface intérieure latérale (40) située entre les deux. Une poche de réception d'insert (42) se situe entre les deux mors (26, 30) et la surface intérieure latérale (40). La surface intérieure latérale (40) présente un élément de guidage (45).
