A polymerizable antimicrobial formulation for forming a wound closure adhesive comprising cyanoacrylate monomer and diiodomethyl-p-tolylsulfone; and a method for closing the approximated edges of a wound with a polymeric film that substantially inhibits the growth of microorganisms, where the polymeric film is formed by use of the polymerizable antimicrobial formulation.
L'invention porte sur une formulation antimicrobienne polymérisable permettant de former un adhésif de fermeture de plaie comprenant un monomère de cyanoacrylate et un diiodométhyl-p-tolylsulfone; et sur un procédé de fermeture des bords rapprochés d'une plaie avec un film polymère qui inhibe sensiblement la prolifération de micro-organismes, le film polymère étant formé au moyen de la formulation antimicrobienne polymérisable.
