Cyanoethylmelamine derivatives represented by general formula (I) wherein one to five of the substituents X1 to X6 each represents cyanoethyl; at least one remaining substituent represents C1-20 alkyl, C2-20 alkenyl (the alkyl or alkenyl may have an alicyclic or phenyl group in the structure), C5-6 cycloalkyl, or phenyl, or may be bonded to the substituent bonded to the same nitrogen atom to thereby form a C2-7 alkylene chain; and any remaining substituent represents hydrogen. The derivatives are produced in a high yield by reacting an N-substituted melamine derivative with acrylonitrile or reacting a mono- or dihalogeno-N-substituted triazine derivative with aminopropionitrile. The compounds represented by the above formula are extensively useful as intermediates for various fine chemicals for agricultural chemicals, medicines, dyes, paints, etc., or as intermediates for various cross-linking agents for resins.
L'invention se rapporte à des dérivés de cyanoéthylmélamine ayant la formule générale (I), dans laquelle chacun des un à cinq substituants X?1¿ à X?6¿ représente cyanoéthyle; au moins l'un des substituants restants représente alkyle C¿1-20?, alcényle C¿2-20? (l'alkyle ou l'alcényle pouvant présenter dans leur structure un groupe alicyclique ou phényle), cycloalkyle C¿5-6?, ou phényle, ou peut être lié au substituant lié au même atome de nitrogène, formant ainsi une chaîne alkylène C¿2-7?; et tout substituant restant représente hydrogène. Lesdites dérivés sont produits en grande quantité par réaction d'un dérivé de mélamine à substitution N avec acrylonitrile ou par réaction d'un dérivé de triazine à substitution N mono- ou dihalogéno avec aminopropionitrile. Les composés représentés par la formule (I) ont des applications très diverses en tant qu'intermédiaires pour différents produits chimiques fins destinés notamment à des produits chimiques agricoles, des médicaments, des colorants ou des peintures, ou en tant qu'intermédiaires pour différents agents de réticulation destinés à des résines.
