A compound represented by general formula (I), a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof or a pharmaceutically acceptable C1-C6 alkyl addition salt thereof, and their medical applications. Since these compounds inhibit the action of chemokines such as MIP-1.alpha. and/or MCP-1 on target cells, they may be useful as a therapeutic drug and/or preventative drug in diseases, such as atherosclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and the like where blood monocytes and lymphocytes infiltrate into tissues.
L'invention, qui a trait à un composé représenté par la formule générale (I), à un sel d'addition acide de ce composé, ou à un sel d'addition d'alkyle de ce composé, comportant de 1 à 6 atomes de carbone, acceptable du point de vue pharmaceutique, concerne également les applications médicales de ces substances. Dans la mesure où ces composés entravent l'action des chémokines, notamment MIP-1 alpha et/ou MCP-1, sur des cellules cibles, ils peuvent être efficaces en tant que médicament thérapeutique et/ou prophylactique s'agissant de maladies telles que l'athérosclérose, la polyarthrite rhumatoïde et analogue, dans lesquelles les monocytes et les lymphocytes s'infiltrent dans les tissus.
