TITLE Cyclic Monomers Derived From Trifluoropyruvate Esters ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Perhalogenated dioxoles, halogenated dioxolanes, a process for making the dioxoles and dioxolanes, and polymers of dioxole and dioxolane monomers. The polymers are amorphous with high glass transition temperatures, are moldable and melt extrudable, and may also be cast from solution. Films and coatings have high clarity and may be used for protective packaging.
