The present invention relates to novel amino acid and nucleic acid sequences of cyclic nucleotide-specific phosphodiesterases from the parasite Leishmania major. The invention also relates to nucleic acid constructs, vectors, and host cells comprising the nucleic acid sequences as well as methods for producing and using the amino acid and nucleic acid sequences. The invention further relates to the use of these sequences, and of antibodies directed against these sequences, in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders related to the infection of Leishmania major, including the identification of compounds that form complexes with the polypeptides and nucleic acids of the present invention.
La présente invention concerne de nouvelles séquences d'acides aminés et d'acides nucléiques de phosphodiestérases spécifiques des nucléotides cycliques issues du parasite Leishmania major. L'invention concerne également des produits de recombinaison d'acides nucléiques, des vecteurs, et des cellules hôtes contenant les séquences d'acides nucléiques, ainsi que des procédés pour produire et utiliser les séquences d'acides aminés et d'acides nucléiques. L'invention concerne encore l'utilisation de ces séquences, et d'anticorps dirigés contre ces dernières, dans le diagnostic et le traitement de troubles liés à l'infection par Leishmania major, notamment pour l'identification de composés formant des complexes avec les polypeptides et les acides nucléiques ci-décrits.
