ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: The present invention relates to cyclic phenol- organosilane-esters and to the o-allylphenylsilane-monoesters occuring during the production thereof. The benzene nucleus of these new compounds is preferably substituted with chlorine or methyl radicals; these compounds are suitable for bio- resistant preserving and sterilizing of natural and artificial materials. Some of the compounds claimed are also suitable for adhesives and for smoothing glass fibres. These new compounds are produced mainly by known processes. However, in producing o-allylphenylsilane-monoesters, it is necessary in many cases to operate in the presence of an excess of hydrogenchlorosilanes. The cyclizing of this preliminary stage to the end-product is carried out in the presence of platinum and/or rhodium catalysts, according to the addition- reaction known per se. This cyclizing may also be carried out without isolating the o-allylphenolsilane-monoester, in that the starting products used for these intermediate pro- ducts are fed directly after the reaction or, if trichloro- silane is used as a starting product, directly after mixing, to the cyclizing reactor. These special processes are also objects of the present invention.
