ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE CYCLODEXTRIN INCLUSION COMPOUND AND PROCESS FOR ITS PREPARATION Hinokitiol, which is relatively insoluble in water, can be rendered more soluble by converting it to an inclusion compound in a cyclodextrin. This may be prepared by heating a mixture of hinokitiol and an aqueous solution of cyclodextrin to a temperature above the melting point of hinokitiol and then mixing the heated mixture with a very cold organic liquid to precipitate the inclusion compound.
