ABSTRACT The invention relates to novel cyclododecane derivatives of the general formula Image (I), wherein R1 and R2 represent independently from each other a hydrogen atom, a C1-6 alkyl group or a C3-8 cycloalkyl group, or R1 and R2 form together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached a heterocyclic ring containing 4 to 7 carbon atoms and optionally a further heteroatom selected from the group consisting of oxygen, sulphur and nitrogen, said ring may be optionally substituted by a C1-3 alkyl or benxyl group; and A represents a C2-6 straight or branched alkylene chain, and optionally active isomers, acid addition salts and quaternary ammonium derivatives thereof. The invention relates further to an analogous process for the preparation of said compounds, to pharmaceutical compoitions containing said compounds as the active ingredient and to a process for the preparation of said pharmaceutical compositions. The cyclododecane derovatives of the invention possess valuable biological properties.
