O.Z. 0050/36792 Abstract of the Disclosure: Cyclohexane-1,3-dione deriva- tives of the formula Image where A is tetrahydropyran-4-yl, 3-methyltetrahydropyran- 4-yl, 1,4-dioxanyl, 5,5-dimethyl-1,3-dioxan-2-yl, 2,5- dimethyl-1,4-dioxan-3-yl, 2,6-dimethyl-1,4-dioxan-3-yl, 2-methyl-1,3-dithiolan-2-yl, 2,6-dimethyltetrahydrothio- pyran-3-yl, 2-methyl-1,3-dithian-2-yl or unsubstituted or substituted 1,3-dioxepan-5-yl, R1 is hydrogen or methoxycarbonyl, R2 is alkyl and R3 is alkyl, alkenyl, haloalkenyl or propargyl, are used for controlling unde- sirable plant growth of grass species, especially in broadleaved crops and monocotyledon crops which do not belong to the grass family.
